PostBulletin.com Virus

| July 18, 2012 | 0 Comments

If you live in South Eastern Minnesota, you probably read the Post Bulletin to get your local news, or at least have heard of it. In the past week Call That Girl has seen computer after computer come through the door with people claiming that their computer was infected by a virus after visiting the Post Bulletin’s website. It turns out that these claims are correct. Someone recently hacked the website causing visitors’ computers to be attacked by a nasty virus.

Update: 7/18/2012 earlier today.

Site is down. We have not called the Post Bulletin to confirm if their site is down due to the virus, but we are guessing they are taking precautions either way. We will continue to check the site with further updates!

As of this morning,  I personally got on the website with no antivirus on my computer and so far, I am not infected. (I will update if I get a virus!). But if you Google Post Bulletin, every page listed states that “this site will harm your computer”.

I have another update, for those that watched the 10:00 news tonight, just to let you know…the virus is real. Not “fake” as other companies claimed it was.

Live Security Platinum is the virus we have been removing. We do not reinstall your computer unless absolutely necessary!

If you are on your mobile phone reading this, call us to get your virus removed. 507-923-4042 or email us at info@callthatgirl.biz
