SOLVED: How to make Outlook.com default calendar for Outlook 2013
If you are having difficulty with Outlook.com calendar not defaulting in your Outlook 2013 (meaning, be the default so when you accept appointments it goes on Outlook.com first and not your Outlook 2013 pst file)…then I hope I have the answer for you!
Not the easiest of tasks, but none the less not that hard.
- First, get all of your email settings and passwords from your current profile
- Then create another profile and add in the Outlook.com first. This sets the priority for Outlook 2013 to know that Outlook.com trumps the other PST will create later, or not if you use IMAP 🙂
- Then add in your other email accounts. If you have IMAP, it will create an .OST file, and it’s nothing more than a copy of your server, not a valid PST File. If you have POP email accounts, then Outlook will create a PST file for you and that should be second in line.
- Then you will want to check your data files and be sure that Outlook.com is default (should be) and check your email accounts and set your email that you want as default.
- Then do some testing
Warning
Creating a new profile will require you set up new signatures, your auto-fill might not work and other settings will have to be set up again.
