Emails sent from Gmail account not showing in Sent folder

This one took me awhile to figure out but I found the emails. Turns out my client had done something on his Android phone and all his sent and deleted items vanished to “All Mail”.

To get these back, I had to log into his Outlook, then configured the All Mail folder and then download all the “All Mail” —you can read this post for instructions

• I then made a full backup of the IMAP account
• Then I moved the sent emails to a new “Sent” folder that is not in the system folders of Google so this doesn’t happen again.
