Wrong Password Button in Outlook 2010 iCloud Not Syncing

| September 17, 2016 | 3 Comments

Client called me about an issue he was having, his iCloud was not syncing with Outlook 2010. His iCloud was showing “Wrong Password” instead of the “refresh button”

He did all the usual troubleshooting but this error was fixed by removing iTunes. A bad update caused a “Wrong Password” button to pop up. We removed iTunes, rebooted and iCloud was happily syncing again.

I did backup all of his data before doing any work on the iCloud. I highly recommend doing that just in case.

Thanks very much – this worked for me!

Worked for me as well. Thanks very much for the tip. I hate having to go the “reset iCloud” route. Loses the whole setup and data.

Thank you so much as I have worked on this for hours! Uninstalling iTunes worked for me too. I did reinstall it and so far no problems.

By uninstalling iTunes, a screen after logging into iCloud became visible and I was able to check the right boxes to sync.
