AOL Inbox Deletes Emails IMAP and Outlook 2013

If your AOL email in Outlook is missing messages, by them just disappearing or going to the trash, then this quick fix might help you. Trust me, I did everything I could to figure out what is going on and the fix was to check all the computers and devices checking AOL email.

One of my clients found that an old computer had Outlook 2007 installed and it was the cause of the missing and deleted emails. I didn’t remote in that computer, but asked him to shut it down (Probably was setup with pop or an older IMAP that was broken)…and the emails stopped deleting out of his newer computer with Outlook 2013 installed. As well his iPhone worked better. I had tested this on my own computer, not even near him…and I too saw the emails disappear.
