More about the SharePoint Training:

As an Office 365 consultant, almost every week I get asked by clients this…”Which is better, OneDrive or SharePoint and what’s the difference?” this is where I offer an hour long consult to show them everything that you will learn in my online training course. This course is great for anyone, clients new to SharePoint, technicians just starting out offering Office 365, or “trainers” of companies who want to learn more to help train and support their end users. I do not have a different outline for different people, I just train the same way for everyone.

Why consider taking this training?

  • If you are wondering what SharePoint is, this training is a great way to peek in without buying yet.
  • If you already have Office 365 Essentials (Exchange) or Business Premium or higher and are not using SharePoint, this video will be helpful to help you learn how to start using it.
  • SharePoint online is a great way to save space on your fast solid state hard drive!
  • Learn the differences between OneDrive, SharePoint and Dropbox

In this 1 hour training I will cover the following and much more.

  • Learn how to setup a new site and sub-sites
  • How to upload folders and documents from your computer
  • Learn how to share files from SharePoint with others outside your organization
  • How to collaborate in real time with others on your team or outside the organization
  • How to restore a document from past versions
  • How to synchronize your local data with SharePoint online
  • The pros and cons
  • Many other tips

About the trainer:

I’m Lisa Hendrickson, the owner of Call That Girl. For many years now, folks have been calling on me to help with their Outlook issues. I jumped in on the Office 365 product line early on. I have been supporting clients with the most popular products, Office and Exchange. In the past few years, training is the hottest item. With the cost of Office 365, its best everyone knows how to use to maximize your investment in the most robust business package out there. I’m here to help! I have many years of training experience starting back to my old college days of training email to freshman and training Lotus Notes to faculty. I love training and helping everyone understand the simple tasks to more intense configurations. I have over 150 videos on my YouTube channel as well as over 100 Podcasts. I love talking, teaching and of course, doing my own marketing! Thank you for your interest so far, I’m glad to help you or your team get ready for your Office 365 experience!

Outlook Exchange connects with long letters and numbers

Outlook Exchange connects with long letters and numbers

Does your Outlook look like this? Outlook_E5HL93GR843 or something similar? Oh yes, this is a bad one! I have had to battle this one for a few weeks now. Clients not even on a Microsoft Exchange Server are getting it! What causes it to happen? Why you? How do you fix it?

Well….This problem started in November of 2016 when Microsoft upgraded their older Outlook.com accounts to the new Exchange server. I had to fix many of these and sadly, the only fix was deep diving and getting the mail back from an IMAP connection they left open. Clients were in panic mode! But I got it!

Now I am finding this weird Outlook again coming back. I have found that this is usually caused by a crash. Windows, Outlook or a 3rd party app. There are many ways to fix it, but if you don’t know what you’re doing, then you should leave it to an IT professional. The client I helped today took an hour to fix and I know what I’m doing. She spent days on this and called Microsoft and couldn’t get a fix in place.

If you really want to know what I did…here’s the list, be warned…it’s ugly. I had to open many times in Safe mode btw!

  • Ran 1803 updates, rebooted. Office up to date (always check these 2 first!)
  • I found the mail app in control panel broke, this means Office is broke
  • Owned Office 2016 home and business
  • Opened in safe mode, created new account and same Outlook_E5HL93GR843
  • Ran a registry fix
  • Problem was still there
  • Found a shortcut to launch the profile in root of Office directory
  • Then it launched, looked good, then Windows password popped up with a domain/users
  • bypassed by clearing Windows Credentials
  • Got lucky, opened and was downloading email
  • Then I found clients Office was 64 bit.
  • Gave up, she had an Office 365 home version and as a quick fix, we installed this and now it’s somewhat stable
  • Did some fine tuning, tune up and told her to keep Outlook open until I could help again on Monday.
  • All in an hour or so.
  • This is why you hire an expert. We have work to do, but now it’s just the janky Office and with her Office 365, Microsoft will support that for FREE. So when it comes down to it, folks buying the Office 2016 business prem for $400 are being told it will be $500 to fix. Buy the Office 365 home or business and have them fix their software.

End of story. Need my help? I can do all of this very fast, use my online calendar below

Microsoft Teams Arlington

| October 28, 2018 | 0 Comments

If you are out looking for a great technical team to help support your Microsoft Teams setup, configuration and training, consider Call That Girl and her team of expert resources.

While none of us live in Arlington, all work remotely and help clients globally. Our Teams expert is based in the UK, the rest of us are all US Based who run our own companies. We are not a large consulting firm, just very talented technicians hand-picked by Lisa the owner of Call That Girl. We offer no contracts with our services but many of us have service and support plans.

Microsoft Teams is a product of the Office 365 suite. Most businesses use Teams for secure communications, chat, file sharing, video, online meeting and integrating with SharePoint. The easy part is launching Teams, the struggle some folks have is figuring out how to use the product. My referral trainer offers private company and corporate training to help your team learn everything you need to know. Most training sessions are done in two parts. First session is the basics, then we ask your team to use Teams and create a list of follow up questions. Typical training is one to two hours in time. If your team needs more extensive training, we can accommodate. Teams will be changing often, so we recommend that you stay in touch with us to keep learning all the new features as they get released.

Lisa offers a free 15-minute consult to review your request, use the comment box below to schedule time. Be sure to have your full Office 365 wish list ready as Lisa handles most things outside of Teams such as Outlook, Office 365 Admin & Security, SharePoint, Dynamics, etc.

Thanks, and we look forward to working with you!
