You’ve been using Slack, Dropbox, Google Drive; maybe you have email on an old server somewhere; you might even have data on a server in the closet. If it’s time for you to update your tech platforms and designate one central location for your data and collaboration, you’ve probably considered or invested in Microsoft 365. This one-purchase bundle is powerful, with thousands of uses. But how do you find and take advantage of the functionality you really need?

First up when you book 365 training with me is clarifying your company’s tech goals and understanding how your team works so we can get your 365 setup and configuration done correctly.  Based on my years of working with clients, I recommend scheduling a one-hour session with the department lead to cover the setup and configuration details. This is critical!

During our first appointment, I will cover the following:

  • Your current platform and how your company’s data is stored, shared and backed up.
  • How your employee work (Office, Home, travel)
  • How your vision your future using Microsoft 365
  • Current issues and problems you want resolved
  • I will offer you a full tour of the 365 products (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) and show you the benefits of using one program over another
  • Once I have reviewed everything, we will create a technical strategy to move your data and start training. If your company does not need data moved, we can move right to the training program.

Network Solutions Outlook Inbox Missing New Email

Hi folks, if these instructions are too technical for you, you can schedule time with me. The following instructions are for technicians who understand Outlook and Windows.

  1. Open your Outlook and verify your email folders match the webmail on Network Solutions. If they don’t match up, you might want to call me as there is a big problem.
  2. Make a backup of your current email account that you have setup in Outlook, even if it’s not working. 
  3. If you made a new profile, don’t delete your profile that was working before it broke, you will need this OST file if you have to do extensive repairs
  4. Copy the OST file of your IMAP account, save to your Outlook Files folder
  5. Add INBOX to the root folder path of the advanced area of the email accounts in the control panel. Apply and close settings.
  6. Outlook will almost immediately resynch the folders, you might need to hit send/receive.
