Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook won’t launch to setup user

This is an updated post, it might work for you and hopefully it will. It might not though if you have the Windows 24H2 update.

Uninstall GWSMO, then download again. If the Google Workspace Sync New User isn’t showing up, then you can launch a new Google Workspace profile by going to the “profileeditor”

C:\Program Files\Google\Google Apps Sync\profileeditor.exe

I took a call today for a client who had their Windows computer update to the latest 24H2 update and I did all the troubleshooting to only find this update crashed Google Workspace Connector and it’s listed on Google’s “Not Supported” page. https://support.google.com/a/answer/152855?sjid=837151656820201246-EU

GWSMO won’t install windows 11

Outlook crashes when creating new email HubSpot

Just helped a client with this issue. Turns out his HubSpot had an update on the computer yesterday and today when he tried to write emails within HubSpot, the emails crashed while typing.

  1. Close Outlook
  2. Uninstalled the HubSpot software in control panel
  3. Reinstalled the Outlook add-in for Hubspot
  4. Launched Outlook and tested, worked great!

Client is still having a weird bug of needing to send an email twice with one of the boxes check “log to CRM” but it does work after the second click.

Can you drag emails to calendar and contacts in New Outlook?

Yes, you can drag an email to the calendar in New Outlook. You do need the “My Day” toggle turned on, see image below.

Then you can drag your emails to the calendar, as of the data of this post, you cannot drag an email to “contacts” in New Outlook.

Barracuda Email Blocked Message

I helped a client this past week who was getting server reply messages from Barracuda, saying their message was blocked. The client had all the DNS records accurate: SPF, DMARC and DKIM. The client was getting this with every person they emailed who had a Barracuda account. Through all the testing we did, I found one answer that is so far working for them.

While we are not 100% sure this will work for everyone, I believe that it was a link in the signature causing this.

Client had their normal signature but in addition, there was another website link that was not really used but the client wanted to have it for people to click on. I don’t think this website had all the records up to date for DNS, we are still working on that but for now, I believe the link was the cause.

Try removing any signatures and see if emails deliver again. Test with adding a new signature with a different hotlink for any websites. Figure it out by removing/then adding during your testing.

Barracuda will not help people who do not have accounts with them, so you’re out of luck trying unless you have the person who has Barracuda add you to the safe senders list. Barracuda is 1000% serious about this.
