Outlook Crashing

??WIN WIN ??Client using Outlook 2013 just called in, her Outlook was crashing every 30 seconds. I remoted in and reviewed her setup, very simple IMAP with enough downloaded that it should not be crashing due to the size. What do you think was the solution?

I did all my optimizing/upgrades and tried 2 repairs, neither worked. So I upgraded her to Office 365/Outlook 2016 32-bit. Worked great! Sometimes you just have to upgrade to get things fixed, but I did try to fix the old.

Feel free to leave a comment if this blog helped you! I am enjoying reading and replying to them.

Why Your Business Needs a Domain

?? WIN WIN ??Client was using an old RoadRunner account for some business email and had a lot of issues with a few users in Outlook. I told them the best thing to do was…

Buy your own domain and start an Exchange business account. Businesses need their own domain for many reasons. First off, stop promoting Roadrunner and Comcast, etc. Promote your own business! Exchange is also great for shared mailboxes, calendars and contacts and mobile syncing! Contact me for a free consult!

Outlook Tips and Tricks

I am an outlook expert, I do this kind of stuff every day.  Use this link to my on-boarding checklist so you can learn more about your system.  These tips will make your computer perform better and able to be recovered if anything bad happens to it!

Sorry this isn’t in more detail, but I consider these tips to be vital and incredibly important!

  1. Be sure you’re logged into your Microsoft Office account
  2. Be sure you’ve done all of your windows updates
    1. Be sure to check for updates
    2. They are not automatic anymore – must click “Check for Updates”
  3. Be sure your Outlook IMAP and exchange accounts are backed up with an online program, they are not typically backed up and they need to be
  4. Be sure you’re logged into one drive, otherwise your computer will run slower because it’s trying to synchronize and it can’t without being logged in
  5. Having too many emails in your inbox, sent, and deleted can cause your outlook to slow down. I recommend moving them to a local pst file so that they are still searchable

Problems with viewing a shared calendar in Outlook

?? WIN WIN ?? Client called in, problems with viewing a shared calendar. Tried a few changes and tricks, nothing was working. I had to do something that I really don’t like to do but it worked…guess what that was?

New profile fixed it. Profiles can go bad and in this case, it was really bad. Let it setup and it’s working great again!
