SharePoint Basics Training

Training With Lisa: SharePoint

First up: If necessary, I’ll start with helping you decide how and where you want to work and share documents: SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams? In an initial consult, I’ll go through the differences so you can make the best choice for your employees and outside contacts.

SharePoint can be set up based on how your company prefers to organize its work. There are a few decisions to make regarding how your data will be shared—by department? by task?—so typically I will work with a team or tech lead for an hour first, then schedule a custom group training.

(Note: I cover the most straightforward SharePoint site configuration. If you have more complex needs, I can refer you to another expert. Drop me a note!)

Training topics we’ll cover:

  • How to set up a new SharePoint site and sub-sites
  • How to manage members and permissions
  • How to create new folders based on past network shares and for archived data
  • Understanding desktop and file extensions
  • How to synch with your desktop computer
  • Is your data local? In the cloud? Both?
  • How to back up data
  • Tips for safety and security

Bonus content!

  • How to collaborate in real time with others on your team or outside the organization
  • Mobile device usage
  • How to restore a document from past versions

SEO for WordPress Training

This is a live 1 hour event that will be recorded. If you cannot attend, I will send you a video for you to watch online after. Every attendee can have a copy of the webinar by request. Your website must be on WordPress for this to work.

SEO is search engine optimization, basically how search engines like Google find your website.

As an Outlook Expert and Office 365 Consultant, clients find me every day by searching Google. I do not make any outbound calls and the reason is this…I have been working on my SEO since 2011. I didn’t start creating SEO blogs until the summer of 2014 when I figured out the magic that would get me ranked for all my keywords. Every summer since 2014, I have hired an assist me to do new keyword sets and we do them in the 100’s. During fall, winter and spring I work on error and how-to blogs.

Doing SEO for yourself is very easy and save you a lot of marketing dollars in the future. The sweet thing is when you make an SEO blog, it lives on for the life of your website. If you don’t have time to do SEO yourself, have an employee or a trusted marketing partner to take this course.

Why consider taking this training?

  • If you are are tired of paying for Google ads
  • Want to understand the basics of SEO
  • Want to learn how to beat your local competitors
  • Learn how to beat competitors in other cities

In this 1 hour training I will cover the following and much more.

  • How to create a basic SEO Blog
  • How to create a master keyword and tags list
  • How to create one master blog to use for all in the future
  • How to place the important keywords in the blog for Google to find it
  • How to get your blog ranked faster in Google
  • How to setup your Google Analytics
  • How to use your blogs in your social media boosts and posts

I will send out information for the training the morning of the event with a link to join the training. You can email me lisa@callthatgirl.biz 10 min before the training starts. If you miss the start time, I cannot help and you will be sent the recording if you email me and let me know.

If you received this error when trying to send receive with Outlook 2016, I found the issue was “SmartByte” a pre-installed program with a new Dell computer was the problem.
