Category: Outlook SupportIf you received this error when trying to send receive with Outlook 2016, I found the issue was “SmartByte” a pre-installed program with a new Dell computer was the problem. This took me about 5 hours to figure out but once I did I was happy as a clam! If you don’t have SmartByte or a Dell, just call me or schedule time on my calendar below and I’ll try to figure out what else is going on.

Hubspot will tell you it’s an Outlook issue and it “sorta” is. Outlook has a trust issue on occasion with images with hyperlinks, so it’s slow to print. My clients print a lot and don’t like the 2 minute delay, so the fix (for now) is a band-aid but I will update the permenant fix once I figure it out.
For now…
In Outlook, go to FILE, then OPTIONS
Click on TRUST CENTER
Then TRUST CENTER SETTINGS
Click the button for “Don’t download pictures automatically in standard HTML email messages or RSS items”
Click “OK”
and then close, see if that helps. If not, email me and see if there an update yet.

When you install Outlook 2019, the installation of the OST files are not in the typical appdata folder but in the directory and folder below. The long digits might not match on your computer, find the one that resembles it.
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Office.Desktop_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Local\Microsoft\Outlook_AppX
