Onboarding Appointment

| May 17, 2023

Cost $129

Due to how complicated Outlook requests can be, I ask that you schedule a 30-min onboarding appt before I perform your repair request. For some requests, I will not require this but if I do, it’s for a reason due to what you told me during our email or consult over the phone. Any time unused will be credited on your repair appt. I have just found so many complications arise when I try to do the work that this initial onboarding appointment can be valuable to us both. I also prefer for your data to be backed up before I start work so I can just get to the repair work. I will do any manual backups necessary and help you setup online or external hard drive backup. I will also be sure to include your Outlook PST/OST files.

This is a one of a kind appt that no other technician/consult will offer you. Besides what we cover during this time together involving your issues, you will learn so much about your computer and have notes for yourself later on after we are done. Many of my clients just use their computer and don’t understand how come their email is not backed up, or how OneDrive does not have a backup, why personal OneDrive accounts cannot be backed up to the cloud only locally, how business OneDrive is a better solution, Teams confusion with home/personal vs business and finally why you have so many accounts.

Note:

  • If you only use 10 min of this appointment, the other 20 will be counted as credit for the time we do the repair work
  • I will keep a notepad txt document in your computer with all the notes, so you have them for the future
  • Any specialty service you book at $299 per hour includes the backup package before starting the project

Onboarding appt checklist, not all bullet items to apply to every client, but everything on this list is important.

  • Create a notepad for you to keep on your computer  “Lisa notes” which will have all the details from below and an outline of your homework and what we will accomplish in our next appointment
  • Reviewing your system, Outlook accounts and OneDrive
  • Email hosting
  • Discuss (This computer only) folders/contacts and calendar
  • Outlook PST files locations

  • Teach you how to backup your own data
  • Teach you how to verify your backup
  • Schedule weekly maintenance checks for Windows updates, Office updates and backup, DIY

  • If you want to move forward I will schedule manually your next appointment to get started on the request and collect your credit card for the time quoted
  • For those that want a quarterly 15 min appointment, we will schedule this so it’s on your calendar
  • You will receive a follow up email with the game plan of your request and any notes
