How to leave Appriver
If you are a client or a past client of Call That Girl aka Lisa Hendrickson and I helped you setup an account with Appriver, here are a few things you need to know before you transfer your account to my new provider of choice.
Appriver was sold in 2019 to another company Zix. In 2023, OpenText (who owns webroot, Carbonite, Cloudally, etc) specifically focuses on CyberSecurity bought Zix and now is in the transformation stage of changing all their service and support. I do not feel that they are now a top provider of Microsoft 365 sales and services for my clients. I have seen many changes come these past few months, as an affiliate partner they have now closed two of my revenue opportunities and changed one to be less of an incentive to work with them anymore. I’ll explain why:
When I asked clients to setup their accounts with Appriver, I told the clients they had Florida based support and were open 24×7. I also told my clients that they can call Appriver for help without needing my help, this helps the flow of my business and helps the clients get support on their own time allowance. OpenText has changed their support to be international, which is fairly standard in big tech but the main issue is their service team is now just like any other, first level technicians following knowledge bases and not as technical as the former Appriver team was. This has been leading to clients emailing me with frustrations of technicians not performing at the technical level that was expected.
I have always told my clients I make a commission off their sales with Appriver but I earn it, by helping them if they needed me to step in and help solve challenging issues. I do not typically bill for my time as I’m earning a relationship commission.
Appriver has now changed this program as I mentioned above and I will no longer be moving new accounts to them and asking past clients to transfer from Appriver to my new provider. I believe in supporting small businesses and have worked on a simple step-by-step outline on how to transfer your account.
If you chose to stay with Appriver, I will no longer be able to offer any free support for calls made to them if you have an issue, all my time is billable.
