Pricing and Services

| December 12, 2020 | 22 Comments

Thank you for reading my pricing page.

My rate for general support and IT administration is $325 per hour, can be used in four 15-minute increments.

My rate for project work which cover any data transfer or migration to 365 (home or business) is $365 an hour. Projects typically are a few days with many quick calls. I only bill for my time. I can offer a soft quote before heading into any project during our first consulation that is free. If you prefer for me to remote in and then I will ask you book a 1-hour appointment and I will keep notes for you on your computer. This is recommended so you know what to expect in a project. If you decide not to move ahead, then I’m happy to only bill for the time during this paid consultation and refund any time unused. You will have your notes if you chose to go in another direction.

How Appointments Work

You may book an appointment using my online scheduler. Please be sure to select your correct time zone when booking.

Every engagement begins with an onboarding and system review. During this session, I evaluate your environment, review the issues you’re experiencing, and identify any underlying problems that may not be immediately visible.

After the review, I will:

  • Recommend clear, practical solutions

  • Provide an outline of the work if the issue requires multiple steps

  • Give you an estimated time requirement to complete the work

  • Once you approve the scope and time estimate, we move forward.

Important Timing Notes

Most requests take longer than one hour and may require:

  • Multiple calls

  • Work spread over a few days due to waiting time for syncing, downloading, uploading, repairs, or system propagation. It’s best to schedule appointments when you have the time, no travel, great internet, etc

For project requests such as Gmail not synching, IMAP folders missing from mailbox server, Outlook calendar and contact synching/3rd party app connectors, email migrations, or anything I let you know would be project:

  • These requests typically go well over and hour and can go into 2+ hours, depending on how technical requirements, changes or custom work I have to do. I also take the time to backup all the data and verify back ups. I also do testing and follow up. I cover this in the onboarding what work needs to be done, sometimes the “game plan” won’t be discovered until after we have done some work and I see the scope of what needs to be done.

Services I no longer support:

  • OneDrive outside of Outlook PST files.
  • Contacts, merging, deduplicating, cleaning up or deleting
  • OST recovery

Migration Update:

Please note that I now use my vendor for data migrations from IMAP to Exchange, they will also support you for the Outlook profile, phone set up and security. Saving you time with me. They are your 365 account manager and you will still have full administrative control. They are considered your “Manager” and I am “Tech support” for things outside their scope.

  1. Scott Abramson says:

    Hi Lisa,

Since September 2022, 20-30 spam e-mails have flooded my Hotmail inbox daily. I found out in February 2023 that I wasn’t alone when several news outlets reported that many Outlook e-mail account-holders are similarly burdened. I expected that Microsoft would resolve the problem, but there has been no change. If anything, the volume of spam e-mails that overrun my inbox every day has increased. Do you happen to have a solution to this problem? If so, could you please let me know how much you charge to fix it? Thank you.

    Best regards,

    Scott
