An error has occurred when synchronizing the Gmail label

An error has occurred when synchronizing the Gmail label “Deleted Items”.

This can happen if a folder with the same name exists on Microsoft Outlook®.

Synchronization might not work correctly until this issue is fixed. To resolve this conflict, rename the Gmail label. If the problem continues, contact your administrator for assistance. For more information on how to edit Gmail labels, see https://support.google.com/a/answer/118708

This has become a common error I am getting requests for. Gmail in Outlook and G Suite Sync connector are causing issues with the sync folder. To see this folder you need to look in the “folders” of your Outlook and towards the bottom of your folder lists, you will see “Sync Issues” and under that folder is probably a few folders full of sync issues. These should not include data from emails, but if you’re worried, you can copy them out to a new PST file. You need to delete them or copy them out. Then close Outlook and re-open, see if the issues go away.

If not, you can schedule time on my calendar below and I can help. Please keep in mind that an average repair is 2 hours at $179 an hour.

If this blog helped you solve your problem, please leave a comment at the bottom of the page and I will approve it for release.
