Below are are a few things I try when asked to fix this bugger of an issue for my clients.
1.) Windows updates/be sure all are done!
2.) Even if your password works online, change it anyway. This is the most simple thing to do
3.) Be sure to check the box to “Remember my password” or else the prompt will yep, keep coming back!
4.) Delete all Exchange, email and Office 365 account information from credential manager/then close Outlook/reboot Windows
5.) Be sure you are logged into Office 365 if you are a subscriber. I have found this to be very helpful for all Outlook snags either way
This is a tough fix folks, so if you don’t have a lot going on with accounts in your Gsuite/Outlook…I recommend just making a new profile. Your profile is probably broke, probably from a Windows update.

? ? WIN WIN ? ? When I get calls for Outlook 2010, I am hesitant to work on it anymore after helping a client today. Gmail and IMAP struggles with it the most and here are my top 3 reasons why it’s time to retire Outlook 2010 even if it’s your favorite and love it!
It can’t compete with Outlook 2016 or 2019 in speed. I just tried yesterday to setup a 1 gig Gmail account and it would not stop send receiving no matter what I tried! I even removed the All Mail and Important folders. Once the client and I installed the Office 365, the download was almost immediate and over with!

? ? WIN WIN ? ? Outlook 2007, still a favorite for some but today I helped a client with a 20 Gig PST file using Outlook 2007 and guess what happened during his call?
I had to say no to helping until he cleaned up and deleted old emails and got it ready for an export and a fresh install of Office! He was ready for the new Office too! I told him it would be so much faster for him.

Verifying that their backup is working! These are my favorite jobs especially with online backup, I am sure to get all the Outlook files too, even the ones no one thinks should be backed up.

So many clients with Gmail are using very old Outlook. Today I helped a client setup her Gmail account and it would not stop syncing. Her internet was fast and the computer was fast, her email size was just around 1 gig. What do you think was the issue here?
Outlook 2010 is broke and out of date, time to upgrade when this happens. Be sure you back up!
