Microsoft 365 Consultant Los Angeles

If you’re looking to hire a 365 consultant to help your company or nonprofit, I offer technical consulting and custom training on Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. I only work remotely and support clients across the US, Canada and Internationally. With by hour and per person pricing, no contract offerings, I’m a great choice for those who have IT departments or providers. If your company needs on-going support, I have prepay ticket options. Some added benefits of working with me directly is that I come with 25 years of experience as a working computer technician. Personally handling the consulting, configuration, technical setup and training.

Many of my clients are using Slack, Dropbox, Google Drive, an older server that’s in a closet, or some other sharing technology and want to transition over to 365. Getting your 365 setup properly and learning the program is a value add for your investment in your 365 subscription.

I typically start with a phone call with the decision makers to determine the needs of your company. Then I will send out a soft quote and once you agree to continue on, the soft quote might change depending on the requirements and technical challenges I come across. Sometimes things change and I’m willing to work with the changes.

During our initial no-cost consult we’ll discuss:

  • Current problems that need to be solved
  • End goals you want to achieve
  • How your company’s data is stored, shared, and backed up
  • How your employees work (Office, Home, Travel)
  • How you vision your workflow using Microsoft 365

Need other work? Lisa specializes in:

  • Disconnecting Home 365 and Business 365 accounts and data
  • Configuration of new products, setup syncing with desktop and mobile
  • New computer setup
  • Assist with 365 Administration
  • Fixing broken OneDrive
  • Setting up Teams
  • Migrating data from network servers to OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint
  • Training for all 365 products
  • Outlook Expert requests

Pricing

  • 1 hour onboarding $225
  • Per hour of extra consulting $200

Group training

  • $50 per user

This one-purchase bundle is powerful, with thousands of uses. But how do you find and take advantage of the functionality you really need?

When you book your first 365 training with me, we clarify your company’s tech goals and understanding how your team works so we can get your 365 setup and configuration done correctly.  I support the one-person business, nonprofits and corporations, all with my same custom training. Tips for setting up or upgrading to Windows 11

Tips for setting up or upgrading to Windows 11

Important to know when you setup a new Windows 11 system
  • Microsoft wants you to log in the computer with a personal Microsoft account.
  • I don’t recommend logging in with your business email.
  • Try to create a new account if you want something easy to disconnect later, not everyone wants their old OneDrive account data downloaded and some people don’t want their data in the cloud.
  • I heard from another technician that if you skip putting in a Wi-Fi password, it should allow you to create a local account.
  • If you have a Microsoft personal account, you can use that to log in with. Be aware that any files in OneDrive will be downloaded and your desktop and documents will be connected to this account.
Important to know if you want to upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11
  • Find out if your PC is able to upgrade. You can find out by going to your search box next to the Windows icon, type in ‘Updates” and it should tell you if you can upgrade.
  • Have a list of all of your Microsoft accounts, email accounts and passwords, you will need them. Outlook might setup fine, or it might not and require you to setup a fresh profile.
  • Verify all your data is backed up to:
  • An external hard drive
  • Is in OneDrive and you see the data in your computer and the online account
  • Or is downloaded from OneDrive to your computer and backed up via Carbonite or another program
  • Be prepared for some programs you have installed to not function and will require a new installation
  • This upgrade will probably take hours and a restart
  • Be prepared for a new interface. See the video below for a quick tutorial
