Corrupt Exchange OST

| May 29, 2017 | 0 Comments

Corrupt Exchange OST. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, you need to get that data from the OST file back to the mailbox through Outlook.

Check the mailbox size in Outlook and then check the OST file size. If they are fairly close in size then the OST is probably not corrupt. I have never seen both be the exact same size but if you find the mailbox is very off from the OST file, you will want to export the current mailbox to a PST folder, then create a new profile in Outlook and add the PST file and copy over the missing data to the new exchange account. If you are not sure of what you are doing, please call me. OST files is not something to mess with if the data is critical and you should also make a copy of it just in case!
