Recover deleted OST Outlook Files. When you delete an OST file either through the Outlook profile or by accident while trying to fix Outlook, you can run a software program to try to find the OST files. Otherwise, they are deleted from Windows. It’s a two step process to get the OST files, you have to run a program to find them and then second to convert them to a PST file. Software Recovery Programs

There are many recovery programs out there on the internet- most run around $49.  I downloaded a free version to be sure the OST files showed up and they did. Tip, only search for OST files! (much faster).  I paid then for the program and they recovered the OST files quickly. You will need to use another software program to convert the OST file to a PST file so you can add back into Outlook. I have used many OST to PST converter tools, all of them work the same and are priced around $99. You’re looking at about $150 if you want to do the recovery yourself.
