Hi Folks, thanks for checking out my current requests page. This is for the week of April 27 to May 1. I used AI to summarize and for some I added in detail. These requests come in every day for me and I usually have room on my calendar to help!
- Outlook 2010 + PST files + OneDrive = disaster
- Client on 2010, his hard drive was out of space so he put the PST’s in OneDrive and now Outlook doesn’t love that location. Hired me to reconfigure.
- New employee setup on a personal Windows profile
- Client buys computer off the shelf (Best Buy, Amazon, etc) like most of us small businesses, has to have a Windows personal account, so I help set up the 365 Business apps and configure Outlook and SharePoint
- Hosted Exchange migration to Microsoft 365
- Client requested a migration from the hosted Exchange, I’ll migrate the data to 365 Exchange
- 99GB mailbox hitting limits
- Once you hit 99 gigs and your inplace archive is acting sluggish, it’s time for power players to get a 2nd mailbox. Will migrate data
- Too much email, needed a 2nd mailbox
- Another client with a similar issues
- MFA lockouts (within 48 hours!)
- Client could not log into 365 Admin as he replaced his phone, put in a call to Microsoft Data Protection, got back into his account in less than 48 hours
- iCloud + ARM processor compatibility issues
- Outlook Classic with ARM processors just don’t play together anymore, set client up on New Outlook and it worked great!
- Outlook sync errors on Mac
- Client had months of sync errors in Outlook on the Mac. Found the file that was stuck, deleted off server.
- Carbonite overcharges
- Client was overbilled, help assist with getting a refund. Loyal long term client.
- Domain transition & data migration
- Client is leaving one company and I am assisting with migrating to a new 365 account
- Outlook.com to Microsoft 365 Business migration
- Client was using Outlook.com for business, set up a new domain and am migrating Outlook.com data over
- “Missing emails” found in Deletions folder
- Client was missing critical emails, found in OWA search in a new folder called “Deletions”, recovered all and he put the emails back in the folders.
- Outlook search not working
- Use cached Exchange Mode was not set, told client to have IT create a new profile and use cached mode for better search results.
