iCloud Expert

gmail synching to outlookiCloud not synching with Outlook and iPhone is the most common problem people are having today.

If you are having problems with iCloud, iPhone and Microsoft Outlook, don’t worry, you are not alone! I am an Outlook expert and have learned that many of my clients have many problems, but usually easily fixed with the right knowledgeable person. You need someone that knows how to set it up right and the first time!

Sometime going to the Apple store, doesn’t help. Those sales people don’t know Outlook very well, and it can be frustrating.

Calling Microsoft, can be even more frustrating. Their first level techs usually don’t know all three technologies well enough to configure it for you over the phone or remoted in. My clients usually complain first that they called Microsoft, and then went to the Apple store, then found me online.

icloudI have patience. I understand your frustrations. Most importantly, I know all the technologies involved.

  • iCloud
  • iPhone
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Heck, throw in Gmail! I know that too.

Call me today and get on my calendar, I’ll have you fixed up in no time!

Welcome to Call That Girl’s Office 365 Consultant page. Lisa the owner specializes in assisting small businesses from one person to larger firms with their Outlook and Office 365 migration, integration and training needs.

Some of Lisa’s clients are just looking for a new solution instead of repairing problems (such as moving off iCloud, Google and iTunes for synchronizing), some clients are wanting to integrate their company into Office 365 (by using Microsoft Exchange) and want a consultant to create a game plan for a smooth transition (get it done right in one day!). Some just want help with setting up SharePoint or working with OneDrive (which is best for you and  your company? Do you know the difference?). Most just want help buying the right Office 365 product, it can be very confusing and we help to be sure you buy what you need.

3 computer issues you can probably fix yourself

| November 10, 2014

glossy-3d-blue-phone-iconHey gang, Lisa here…Sometimes our clients call in with really simple problems (bad updates, programs don’t work and it just did yesterday) , to us technicians, usually the fix is easy as we know what caused the issues (based on our vast experience fixing things over and over again).  Some of these issues can be prevented by you, just doing a few simple things.  I’m letting you know the top 3 computer issues you can avoid if you fix today.

Windows Updates

Do them manually if your computer is not set to do them. Or check at least to be sure you are current. Sometimes clients call in and a Windows update is all it takes to fix their other software issue.

Backup your data and online file sharing (Dropbox)

Clients will call in, they overwrote a file. Bad bad, we know! But a backup system could have easily restored work from yesterday, make life simple, back up! You know what’s worse? Is they call in and their computer decided to have it’s last day, all of their data was on the computer and they had no back up at all in place. Data is probably recoverable, but this can take a shop days to get and be costly. If your hard drive is in a bad state, this can cost you even more time and money. If you’re in business, you know that any downtime is a loss of revenue, so having a good backup in place is a worthwhile investment.

What online programs do I recommend? Ours of course, we charge $69 to install and we have 2 programs to help you. If you’re not interested in ours, then for other “commercial” programs, Mozy is my 2nd favorite and Carbonite is not on the list at all. Want our help? Call 612-865-4475

Get a good antivirus program

avFree, never good. Even if you say “It’s worked well so far”…well, we just helped a client with AVAST paid and they were chock full of viruses. So yea, AVAST is not a   good program at all. What is a “good program”? Of course I says our in house support program (read more down below) and of all the paid programs on the internet, ESET is decent, VIPER is good and while this is just my opinion here (0ther techs reading this might argue or call me nuts), Microsoft’s Security Essentials and MalwareBytes together seems to have worked for us/my clients in the past.

Nowmoving ahead, we have our own in house program that way more robust than anything else, includes a cyrptolocker prevention kit (the FBI type virus that holds your computer ransom) and offers up a lot of support for Windows glitches, iTunes issues and pop up/junkware. I’m not here to pitch this, but if you want it, I won’t stop you from calling us 612-865-4475
