Microsoft Access not emailing from New Outlook

Microsoft Access not emailing from New Outlook

I helped a client this past week and we could not get MS Access to email from New Outlook. The client really loves New Outlook so I created a solution for him that works but not through New Outlook.

I launched Outlook Classic, pinnned to his task bar. Set all defaults to New Outlook and since his email is IMAP, both versions will sync his email. Now he can still send using Outlook Classic and the email will show up in New Outlook. This is the best solution for him as Access and New Outlook might not ever talk due to some VBA requirements. I did research a bit and saw it online after I offered this.

How many PST files can you add to New Outlook

How many PST files can you add to New Outlook

Question that live rent free in my head 😂

Back when I was doing all my first round testing of the technical limits of New Outlook, adding in PSTs was not available. Today I helped a client and his request was “I want to use new 365 so I can search all my data for a research project” and I had no idea how this was going to go. When I remoted in, I saw 23 PST and added his license to New Outlook and off we went! I got 21 added in fine, but New Outlook was cranky after that. So for now, we are letting it rest for a day or so, he will do some testing and then we add in 16 more! I’ll update with results.

I titled this exactly what I was searching for and could not find it so I thought I’d share.  I used the search area in Wix, typed in MX and it took me to this link. You can click on the 3 dots at the far right and manage the DNS there. I hope this helps you!

Google WorkSpace Sync For Contacts Stopped Working with Outlook Desktop

Google WorkSpace Sync For Contacts Stopped Working with Outlook Desktop

This is a known issue and has been a trending issue for many months now. Many online articles will point you to turning off contacts in the sync settings but for my clients, that wasn’t a good option as they need their contacts to be viewed everywhere.

Not a favorite solution for hard core Outlook Classic desktop lovers, but moving to New Outlook works and my client was good with that switch. It’s not easy to tell a client (or you if you are reading this) that the sync software is not fixable. I have tried to get them working again with many clients and from what I know as of Jan 17, 2026, it’s not fixable quite yet.

If you need my help, please use the form below. Moving to New Outlook should be simple but some folks need some data set up or migrated.

Microsoft Teams button missing from Outlook Classic Desktop Calendar

Microsoft Teams button missing from Outlook Classic Desktop Calendar

Common problem these days. Microsoft offered Teams to anyone awhile back, so many of my clients have found they can use it to attend meetings but to schedule meetings, it’s not functioning in the app or in Outlook Classic calendar. The reason is that they are logged into Teams using a personal Microsoft account.

To get the button to show up in Outlook Desktop Calendar:

  • Log into your Microsoft 365 Business account
  • Go to Teams www.teams.microsoft.com
  • Click on the 3 vertical dots next to your name in the upper right
  • Click on “Get the desktop app”
  • Close Outlook
  • Install the desktop Teams app
  • Once complete, launch Outlook Classic
  • The two Teams buttons should show up. If they don’t, you might have other issues to repair first.

Contact me using the form below for assistance. If you need a Microsoft 365 Business account, I can help you setup and purchase and configure it all.
