How to backup your Microsoft Exchange on the PC

For folks using an online backup program, you want to make sure these files get in the backup for your Microsoft Exchange account in Outlook. To find them easily, follow my instruction from Outlook. 

  • In Outlook, click on “File”
  • Click on “account settings”
  • Click on “account settings” again
  • Then click on the tab “data files”
  • Find your Exchange account
  • Click on “Open file location”
  • A file explorer window will open up and should have the file for your Microsoft Exchange data file highlighted
    • should be in a file like this path –> C:\Users\ProfileName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
  • Right click on it and you will see Carbonite options
  • Be sure to “add to backup” or whatever it states.

How to backup your Gsuite on the PC

For folks using an online backup program, you want to make sure these files get in the backup for your GSuite in Outlook. To find them easily, follow my instruction from Outlook.
