    • ALWAYS ask how old a printer is.
    • Two quick ways to fix most printer problems:
      • Unplug all cables from power sources and devices, reboot the computer, plug the cables back in, and cyber the power to the printer.
      • Add a printer.
  • Almost all hardware troubles can be resolved with remote support. In the event that a technician needs to be onsite, ask Lisa for a referral.

Show Notes

  • Virus removals can be tricky, not always as easy as one would think. Although the general hiding spots can be helpful, they aren’t always the only place where viruses hide, and sometimes require more work and time to find and remove them.
  • Crappy antivirus programs like Norton and McAfee, like free antivirus software, are not always the easiest to uninstall and do not always detect viruses.
  • Ideal to talk to client about purchasing GFI monitoring and virus removal to protect them better and long term.
  • Virus removal jobs only pay to remove the virus. This does NOT include repairs to programs and documents that have been damaged by virus and other malware infections.
  • Malwarebytes update is bad.
    • Black screens the system after a crash.
    • Fix found! Must download a “fresh” version of Malwarebytes and install.
