Recently there was an Outlook update that’s caused a few issues with Outlook and Pop accounts. One issue is that emails are duplicating, the other is it’s just not functioning correctly. It is Update 16.0.6568.2025
The update can be found if by opening your Outlook, go to “File”, then go down to “Office Account” and under the Product Information area, you will see what your recent version is. If it’s 16.0.6568.2025, and if you’re having problems, here is the fix for this. If this does not work, then you might have other problems. Feel free to call me at 612-865-4475

One of my clients found that an old computer had Outlook 2007 installed and it was the cause of the missing and deleted emails. I didn’t remote in that computer, but asked him to shut it down (Probably was setup with pop or an older IMAP that was broken)…and the emails stopped deleting out of his newer computer with Outlook 2013 installed. As well his iPhone worked better. I had tested this on my own computer, not even near him…and I too saw the emails disappear.

Worked like a charm. I don’t get a lot of calls for this, so I will assume it’s a random issue.
Go to File -> Options, then under Outlook Options window select Advanced and scroll down to under Other section, disable the box for the : Use animations when expanding conversations and groups and do a restart of the Outlook again to verify if this resolves the issue.

First open Outlook and then go to the top left area and click on “File”
Then go down to “Office Account”
You will see the “User Information” there. If you are signed in with your business email account, then you are using the licensed software.
If you see another email account, such as a personal email or an account that doesn’t match your business .com, please contact me and I will assist with having you login into your business account.
If you are not using OneDrive, you should be able to safely log out of the account and log in with your business email account. Some folks have a lot of data on the OneDrive and we want to make sure that you don’t lose that information on the computer. So just schedule time with me to help! Another sticky issue people are having is IMAP and clearing all the filters applied, so when you clear one, all get cleared. Simple fix!
