Outlook prompts for password

Below are are a few things I try when asked to fix this bugger of an issue for my clients.

1.) Windows updates/be sure all are done!

2.) Even if your password works online, change it anyway. This is the most simple thing to do

3.) Be sure to check the box to “Remember my password” or else the prompt will yep, keep coming back!

4.) Delete all Exchange, email and Office 365 account information from credential manager/then close Outlook/reboot Windows

5.) Be sure you are logged into Office 365 if you are a subscriber. I have found this to be very helpful for all Outlook snags either way
